What is the difference between cosmetic and reconstructive surgery?
Patients are usually confused by the distinction between plastic surgeons and cosmetic doctors.
The difference between the two is extensive training. Our plastic surgeons are also members of The Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons. Cosmetic doctors don't hold the same surgical qualifications as plastic surgeons.
