 The Coherent LightSheer Diode Laser treats all types of hair with the exception of white, blonde or grey hair on most skin types. A test patch of hair removal laser can be done for you to see effectiveness and a free consultation is available by appointment. Hair removal laser usually requires approximately 6 treatments based 4 – 8 weeks apart, depending on the area, hair and skin type.

 

Common queries in relation to hair removal laser

  • The Coherent Light Sheer Diode Laser treats most skin types.
  • Only hair that has pigment can be treated - it is not suitable for white, grey or blonde hair.
  • As a general rule, areas below the neck require 6 - 10 treatments, placed 6 - 8 weeks apart.  Areas above the neck require 6 - 10 treatments placed 3 - 6 weeks apart.
  • You must not have waxed, tweezed or had depilatory treatments to the area to be treated for at least six weeks prior to hair removal laser.  (It is OK to shave)
  • Pain from treatment is transient and is usually felt as a pin-prick sensation as the pulse of the laser is fired.  For those with extremely low pain thresholds, a topical anaesthetic cream may be used over the area one hour prior to treatment.
  • Hair reduction varies from person to person and can range from 100% to 30%. Our clinic has had excellent results over three years of treatments. Testimonials from clients that have undergone the treatment are available on request.
  • Allow about one hour for your first treatment for underarm or bikini and then 30 - 40 minutes per treatment from then on. After effects are minimal - some transient redness or irritation may occur.
